Helen Arnold is a born and raised here Port Angeles native, my mother, and a respected business leader in this community. Having started from scratch, she built a successful small business as a Licensed Exclusive Agent for Allstate Insurance. In fact, this is the agency that Helen started.  Through her training, business ethics, and compassion for her customers - she found solutions to protect family nest eggs and provided that important piece of mind found by matching customer need to the right insurance products. She maintains her license and training to provide insurance products covering Property and Casualty (P&C) for home, auto and commercial business, and other special line insurance; individual and group Life, and Disability and Long Term Care insurance. After 12 years of her stewardship, I had the opportunity to purchase this agency in January of 2011. I am fortunate enough to have her working here with me as I strive to grow this agency as Elwood Benefits, Inc.
 
As a concerned Port Angeles native, Helen made an investment of her time to add her voice and insight to make a positive influence on the lives of everyone living on the Peninsula by participating in these organizations:
·        Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce (Board of Directors: 2000 – 2010)
·        Port Angeles Realtors Association (1998-2010)
·        Nor’Wester Rotary (Board of Directors: 2002 to present)
·        Port Angeles Business Association (Board of Directors: 2000 – 2006)
 
In addition to having the best son in the world, Helen has a daughter Cortney. In 2008, Cortney and her husband Casey, provided Helen with the best granddaughter in the world - Ellie. In addition to enjoying road trips and cooking at home, Helen also assists her husband Tom with his environmental consulting and risk management firm. That is … when they are not out golfing.
